Below is a selection of projects in which I have contributed.
Reach Further Blog
In my employment with Reach Further, a new micro-site was required in order to advertise our upcoming courses, providing users with the necessary information such as dates, venues, details etc in a concise manner. This information is freely available on the main website but it was felt necessary to create a micro-site in order to promote the availability of courses seperate from this corporate website.
The site was completed using valid XHTML and CSS and was incorporated into Wordpress in order to easily and speedily update content. Although no booking facility was built into the site, users are able to view maps and gain directions to the venues as well as seeing all necessary details of any upcoming courses.
Misc Music
This was a project undertaken during the course of my employment with Reach Further, and was to move an existing site from Tumblr across to Wordpress, and add some additional features to the basic blog functionality. The client wished to maintain the original design within the new format so I replicated the design within Wordpress and increased the functionality to included incorporation of a Twitter feed and other social networking options.
Video and audio handling was fully incorporated into the site which was missing from the Tumblr blog as well as user-edited widgets to display content within the sidebar.
Yorkshire Tartan Army
Being a keen football fan and someone who regularly travels abroad to watch my national team (although there are times I wonder why!) I was immediately interested when the idea of arranging meet-ups to watch games on tv was proposed over on the Tartan Army Board and immediately became involved. There is no formal structure and is a very loose arrangment, but it was felt necessary to create a site and I volunteered to undertake this task.
The site is built using Drupal and is on it's second design and the first completely custom Drupal theme that I've created. It was only recently re-launched however it will be re-designed again in time for the European qualifiers which start in September.
